Jackson started playing drums in 2005, and quickly made his way to playing in multiple school music programs. This continued through high school, where he sought the teachings of multiple drum coaches including Wesley Ong (BMus), Troy Wright (Wright Music School), Steve Judd (Karnivool) and Dr. Grant Collins (Grant Drums Academy). He then went on to study a Diploma of Music at Southbank Institute of Technology (TAFE), and graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He currently works for a popular Brisbane music school and also teaches privately, alongside his many creative projects.
